Our Special Edition Flintlock Range

Our special edition Flintlock range sees us utilising different materials and finishes on our classic designs. The range is a nod to the historic London gunsmiths, which celebrates the unique gunmetal weld finish. Before steel, gunmetal was a popular material because it cast well and was also resistant to corrosion. To achieve our finish, we gently rub the frame to accentuate the gunmetal effect and then apply a powder lacquer as a protective finish.

There is of course another star in this synergy of materials and that is the sapele hardwood. Sapele is a wonderfully deep and textured sustainable wood similar in quality to mahogany. To further enhance the beauty of this wood, we apply oil and hand-polishing, which all combine to make our robust special edition Flintlock range so eye-catching.
